Historic Old Town blocks, established Coal Creek lots, newer developments north of South Boulder Road. We design and build sheds and outdoor structures that fit the property and clear the city's permit rules the first time.
Garden sheds, modern sheds, chicken coops, pergolas, playhouses, and custom structures. All designed for Colorado weather. All built by our crew.
Panorama Sheds is based in Longmont and works across the northern Front Range. Louisville is 15 miles south of us, about a 20-minute drive, and we are out there most weeks. Louisville is one of those cities where the city government takes accessory structures seriously, which is good news for homeowners who want a build that holds up to inspection and lasts decades.
We build across the city. The historic blocks of Old Town where the Old Town Overlay zone adds its own architectural rules on top of the standard permit. The established neighborhoods around Coal Creek where mature trees and shaped lots make placement a real conversation. The newer developments north of South Boulder Road where HOAs are active and the building department expects clean drawing sets.
We know what the Louisville Building Safety Division expects. We know how to handle the city's zoning requirements for accessory structures, including the Location Permit that even small structures need. We know which Old Town blocks have the strictest review and what gets approved on the first submission. If you are in Louisville and you have a backyard project in mind, we have built through the city's process enough times to make it routine.
Louisville requires a building permit for any storage shed, play structure, or accessory structure over 120 square feet, or for any structure that attaches to your home. Smaller structures still need a Location Permit and must meet city zoning setbacks: typically ten feet from the rear property line and five feet from the side. Old Town Louisville has its own overlay zone with additional architectural rules. The homeowner files the permit. We provide the construction documents and walk you through what is required. Verify the current rules with Louisville Building Safety at 303-335-4581.
Louisville projects cover our full range. Our smallest builds, like a dog house or firewood shelter, run $450 to $950. Chicken coops are $2,450 to $3,250 with delivery included in Boulder County. Our signature garden sheds with TimberTech decks and pergolas are $16,500 to $18,500 fully built. Old Town Overlay projects can run higher because architectural review usually means more drawing detail and finer trim work. We give you a firm number after we walk the lot.
Louisville projects typically take 2 to 4 weeks once we start. City permit review runs about 3 to 5 weeks for structures over 120 square feet, with another 1 to 2 weeks for Old Town Overlay review when it applies. We sequence everything so the build kicks off the moment the last approval comes through. We give you a specific timeline upfront and keep you in the loop throughout.
Louisville yards often have mature trees and established landscaping that require careful access planning. We handle site clearing, grading, crushed granite or concrete pads, the build, and landscaping around the structure when the work is done. One crew, start to finish. If you already have a pad and just want the structure, we will build on what is there. Your call. Either way you get a finished yard when we leave, not a job site.
